It looks like a TV deal (or two) for the XFL is coming soon, possibly as soon as next week.
John Ourand of the Sports Business Journal is reporting that the league is in “deep” discussions with FOX and ESPN that would bring games to ABC, FOX, ESPN, and FS1.
The news about FOX is not surprising since WWE will be moving SmackDown Live to that network this October. The league plans on announcing a TV deal soon and they want to have eight star quarterbacks and head coaches in place in the next couple of months so that they can start local promotion every city where they have a team.
This version of the XFL will be focusing on better football and faster play with Vince McMahon not being in front of the camera like he was in 2001.
