WWE and The Young Bucks haven’t gotten along very well in recent weeks. There was probably a better feeling coming from The Youg Bucks camp, but since WWE sent them a cease and desist letter there can’t be too much love between the two sides.
WWE is reportedly firing people over even taking pictures with Nick and Matt Jackson (let alone the rest of the Bullet Club) therefore it might be out of the question that The Young Bucks would get an offer of any kind from WWE.
Well, this didn’t come from WWE necessarily but it’s pretty close. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, The Young Bucks were contacted by 2k about doing motion capture work for the WWE 2k19 game. 2k wanted Nick and Matt Jackson’s moves due to the demand for character creators trying to mimic The Young Bucks’ unique move set using the Create-A-Wrestler (CAW) feature.
This is certainly an interesting thing to note and another example of the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing. Then again, since 2k is only contracted to work with WWE and not an official part of the organization, it’s more like the prosthetic right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing.
But either way, it was very interesting timing because the offer from 2k came a day after The Young Bucks received the cease and desist letter from WWE following their Raw invasion segment.
