“Young Rock” renewed by NBC for third season

The “Young Rock” series, which is about Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s life, on NBC is coming back for a third season.

On Thursday, NBC confirmed it had renewed “Young Rock” for Season 3. The show is produced by Universal Television, Seven Bucks Productions, and Fierce Baby Productions.

Johnson, Joseph Lee Anderson, Stacey Leilua, Adrian Groulx, Bradley Constant, Uli Latukefu, Ana Tuisila, Fasitua Amosa, and John Tui star in the series.

The series features actors portraying his parents, Rocky Johnson and Ata Maivia, his Grandmother, Lia Maivia in addition to several wrestlers. The second season covered his journey into becoming a wrestler and joining WWE.

In addition to his work relaunching the XFL, The Rock is staying busy with his acting career. His animated “DC League Of Super-Pets” film will be released in theaters on July 29, 2022, while “Black Adam” is scheduled for October 21, 2022.
