“You’re Not A Wiseman Anymore, You’re A Dumbass”: Roman Reigns Confronts Paul Heyman On Raw

Tonight’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw concluded with a tense and chaotic in-ring segment that saw Roman Reigns reject an offer to reunite with Paul Heyman, verbally spar with Bron Breakker, and ultimately unite with his cousin Jey Uso to fend off an attack.

Heyman’s Offer

The segment began with Paul Heyman, flanked by his clients Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, in the ring. After Heyman introduced Breakker and Reed as the “future of the entire industry,” Roman Reigns’ music hit and he made his way to the ring. Heyman had his associates stand back as Reigns entered.

Heyman addressed his former Tribal Chief, noting that Seth Rollins’ long-term injury has created a “leadership void” in his faction. He made a plea to Reigns, suggesting they could “fix this and put things back together,” implying that Reigns could lead a new group that included Breakker and Reed. “You’ll always be my family, because I love you, my Tribal Chief,” Heyman said.

Reigns Rejects His Former Wiseman

Reigns took the microphone from Heyman and, after acknowledging the Houston crowd, flatly rejected the offer. He stated that a few years ago he would have considered Heyman’s words to be wise, but now, he sees things differently. “You’re not a wiseman anymore, you’re a dumbass,” Reigns told Heyman.

Reigns continued, stating that Heyman was not the one responsible for creating the “Tribal Chief” persona, but rather the fans were. He credited the original members of The Bloodline, including The Usos, Solo Sikoa, and even Sami Zayn, for his success, not Heyman. He accused Heyman of being just a “business partner” whom he made family, and said Heyman threw it all away for someone he hadn’t spoken to in a decade, a clear reference to Seth Rollins.

The “Big Dog” Steps Up

As Reigns verbally dressed down Heyman, Bron Breakker repeatedly stepped forward, only to be held back by his manager. Eventually, Heyman slipped the microphone to Breakker, who confronted Reigns directly. “We don’t want you here anymore,” Breakker told Reigns. “You’re yesterday’s news. You’re the old dog… I’m the big dog now. I’m the top dog now. I’m the future of WWE. I’m the man now. So do what you do best, Roman, turn around and leave.”

Reigns responded by feigning that he couldn’t hear Breakker and tossed him his own microphone. As Breakker caught the mic, Reigns leveled him with a Superman Punch, igniting a brawl.

A Family Reunion

Reigns fought off both Breakker and Bronson Reed, but the numbers game quickly caught up to him. Reed shoved Reigns directly into a spear from Breakker. As Reed ascended the turnbuckle to hit his Tsunami splash, Jey Uso’s music hit and he ran to the ring to make the save.

Jey Uso hit a flurry of superkicks on both Breakker and Reed, clearing them from the ring. The show ended with Reigns and Jey hitting simultaneous spears on their opponents, sending them to the floor. The final image of Raw was that of the reunited cousins, Roman Reigns and Jey Uso, standing tall together in the ring as Heyman, Breakker, and Reed retreated up the ramp.
