Zelina Vega Calls Out Fake AI Video About Her WWE Release: ‘Don’t Fall For This Crap’

Zelina Vega has been forced to publicly address a fake AI-generated video spreading online that falsely depicts her reacting emotionally to her WWE release.

The video circulating on social media portrays Vega claiming her release was humiliating, that she had no warning, and that she felt embarrassed being listed publicly among the cuts. Vega moved quickly to shut it down, posting on Twitter to make clear the video is entirely fabricated.

“There’s a weird AI video of me going around talking about my release. Don’t fall for this crap please. I appreciate the support in the comments of course, I love you guys so much, but I didn’t say any of this,” Vega wrote.

She also revealed that attempts to have the video removed have not been successful.

“I tried reporting it but it didn’t work. But if you come across this video, it is fake,” Vega wrote.

The situation is different from what Vega actually said following her release, in which she kept her public comments measured, acknowledged the business side of WWE’s decision, and indicated she has plans that extend well beyond pro wrestling.

Vega was among the 25 wrestlers released by WWE on April 24 as part of the post-WrestleMania 42 roster cuts. She is married to Aleister Black, who was also among those let go on the same day.
