Zilla Fatu Says He Wants To Join WWE One Day, But Needs More Time To Grow

Zilla Fatu, the son of the late WWE Superstar Umaga and the newest wrestling member of the legendary Anoa’i/Fatu dynasty, has confirmed that joining WWE is his ultimate goal. However, he does not believe he is ready for that stage just yet and is focused on patiently honing his craft.

As a member of wrestling’s most famous family, which includes Roman Reigns, The Rock, The Usos, and many others, there is a natural expectation from fans that Zilla will eventually find his way to a WWE ring. Since making his professional debut, he has quickly made a name for himself, training at Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling promotion and recently making a high-profile debut with TNA Wrestling.

The Obvious Goal

In a new interview with Chris Van Vliet on his Insight podcast, Zilla Fatu was asked directly if he has aspirations of joining WWE in the future. “Yes, that’s so obvious. Yes, I would love to.”

His desire to join the family business on the grandest stage is clear. Given his lineage, a future in WWE seems almost inevitable. However, unlike many young wrestlers who are eager to get to the top as quickly as possible, Fatu is taking a much more measured and patient approach to his career.

“I’m Still Green”

Despite his confidence, Fatu was brutally honest about his current skill level. He admitted that he is not yet ready for the pressures of WWE and wants to continue growing as a performer before he even considers making that jump.

“No. I thought I was. No, I think I still have more time to grow. I’m still green. I still have a long way to go, man. So I think when the timing is right, and not only that, when I feel right, just like the same feeling I had in prison, that I was tired, that I didn’t change my life, I’m just waiting for that feeling, and once that feeling pops up, that’s when I’m gonna start pushing for it. But for right now, I’m just being patient and just waiting, just grinding, enjoying the process, enjoying the journey, and just learning as I go and always be the student in the game… I’m just working like WWE never had their eyes on me. I think having that mindset, I think I’m gonna get there. I know I’m gonna be there. I think it just takes repetition, and it takes time.”

While his ultimate goal is WWE, he is currently focused on his development. Fans can watch him continue to grow his brand as a featured performer in TNA Wrestling and at Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling.
