Hulk Hogan wants Gawker execs charged over recently leaked conversations

TMZ is reporting that Hulk Hogan’s attorneys have filed a motion in Florida court claiming that Gawker.com’s Nick Denton is the person behind the leaked conversation from the Hulk Hogan tapes that include Hogan using racial and homophobic slurs. Hogan believes that the conversations were leaked in an attempt to damage Hogan’s $100 million lawsuit against Gawker.

Hogan’s $100 million lawsuit against Gawker is due to Gawker posting a clip of Hogan having sex with Heather Clem. The 2006 clip was posted on the website in 2012. The clips were marked as confidential by Florida courts but they somehow got out to the National Enquirer and Radar Online and Hogan believes that Gawker leaked those tapes to them.

Hogan’s attorneys are asking for an investigation of Denton and former Gawker exec A.J. Daulerio and if Gawker is responsible for the leaks then Hogan and his attorneys believe that criminal charges should be brought against them. Gawker has denied any involvement in the recent leaks.

Gawker president and general counsel Heather Dietrick tells TMZ, “Hulk Hogan has only one person to blame for what he said and no one from Gawker had any role in leaking that information.”
