For those that have asked, Bill Goldberg is still in New York City so it’s quite possible that we’ll see him tonight at SummerSlam. I haven’t been told anything but it’s interesting that he hasn’t flown home yet and he is done with all the 2K17 commitments for the weekend. Goldberg recent had knee surgery so I wouldn’t expect him to wrestle a match anytime soon but there’s plenty of time between now and WrestleMania if he and WWE can work out a deal.
Goldberg and Brock Lesnar have been cutting promos on each other over the last couple of days and Goldberg has made it clear that he wants to wrestle a match for WWE. Lesnar, when asked about Goldberg in interviews, said that he is looking to get through Randy Orton at SummerSlam and then he might set his sights on Goldberg.
It would make sense for them to wrestle at WrestleMania and play off the fact that Goldberg defeated Lesnar at WrestleMania XX when both men were on their way out of the company. I guess we’ll see if they tease something tonight.
