If you were watching SmackDown Live this week wondering why people started chanting “thank you Lana” out of nowhere in the middle of her match with Charlotte, then you probably missed the spot where the Ravishing Russian pulled down The Nature Girl’s tights. Yup, Lana exposed Charlotte’s Genetically Superior Backside to the Toronto crowd.
“Thank you, Lana” chants rang out in full force and it quickly went viral online. #ThankYouLana also blew up on Twitter as everyone remained thoroughly entertained by this unplanned spot. News about wardrobe malfunctions is always popular whenever they pop up, no pun intended.
In all reality, it is a mistake and it is on Lana because that’s not how you grab someone in the ring. It’s not a wardrobe malfunction if someone just pulls down your tights. Charlotte didn’t have a duct tape belt, so down they went. Yes, if you look hard enough some fans got all the action on video from various angles but we’re not giving it to you here. You’ll have to find that yourself because some things are worth the journey to the destination.
Charlotte thought it was pretty hilarious herself and even poked fun at the incident backstage with Becky Lynch on their “What’s The Tea?” online show. One fan tweeted a picture of Flair’s full moon on SmackDown Live with a nice little comment. It was clever enough to get Charlotte’s attention because she responded with a whimsical observation about Lana.
