There is a huge main event planned for next month. It became more obvious after SummerSlam that Braun Strowman will be next in line for a title shot.
Dave Meltzer has been reporting for months that they had plans for a Strowman vs. Lesnar match and he reported last week that the match is scheduled to take place at No Mercy on 9/24. They’ve been teasing the match since April when Strowman declared his intentions to take the Universal Championship from Lesnar. Those plans were pushed back because of Strowman’s elbow injury.
At SummerSlam, the announcers pointed out that Strowman manhandled Lesnar like a child and on one has ever been able to dominate him like that. That match was amazing and it felt like watching a car crash. I am sure that the one on one match will be just as good or better than the SummerSlam Four-way.
WWE No Mercy will take place on 9/24.
