There’s never been a live Monday Night Raw broadcast to air live during Christmas night or New Year’s night but that will change this year.
WWE has announced that Raw will air live on Christmas night, December 25th and New Year’s Day, January 1. In previous years, holiday shows were taped over the weekend and were generally regarded as throw away shows until they got back to the live shows after the new years.
This could be an experiment to see how they do in the ratings because NFL and college football games generally draw great ratings on Christmas and New Years.
On New Year’s night, Raw will go up against the Sugar Bowl. The game will start at 8:45 pm on ESPN.
