The big buzz this week in wrestling is New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Wrestle Kingdom 12 show and the New Year Dash show that sets the tone for the feuds for the rest of the year.
War Machine (Hanson and Raymond Rowe) finished up with NJPW at the New Year Dash show. In fact, they gave their notice to the company in early December and they are expected to sign soon with WWE. We don’t know when they will debut but the betting line is that they will show up on NXT sometime within the next few months. They are former IWGP Tag Team Champions and they’ve also held the ROH Tag Team Championship.
Meanwhile, Ricochet’s non-compete with Lucha Underground is set to expire within the next few days. His contract with them stipulated that he was free and clear after the last episode of the recent season but he could not appear on TV for another promotion for another 90 days. Well, those 90 days are almost up and he is expected in NXT soon.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter was asked about the status of War Machine and Richochet and he confirmed everything that’s been previously reported.

The new blood in NXT would mean that more talent will be moving up to the main roster soon.
