The WWE Mixed Match Challenge is going to be a landmark event with a lot on the line. After all, if WWE is able to do great business by streaming on Facebook Watch, there could be plenty of other options for future ways to consume the programming.
To add a bit of excitement to the upcoming series, WWE filmed segments where WWE Superstars in the tournament discovered who their partner would be. A majority of these Superstar reactions were actually legit.
Of course, Sami Zayn was told he would be sneaking up on Becky Lynch because he had to dress up in a bad beard and Randy Orton zip-up hoodie to do so, but Lynch had no idea she would be teamed with a fellow redhead. The same is true for Nakamura as he approached Natalya and dropped in on her backstage interview.
So if it looked like The Miz’s reaction to finding out Asuka is his partner or Natalya’s reaction to seeing Shinsuke Nakamura seemed authentic, that’s because they were. Check out some of the genuine reactions in the videos below:
