Seth Rollins couldn’t call on his old buddy Dean Ambrose to challenge The Bar because The Lunatic Fringe was injured so Kurt Angle picked a partner for him. In a grand display of nepotism, Jason Jordan was chosen as The Architect’s tag team partner and their match for the Raw Tag Team Titles turned out to be a success.
Now we have Jason Jordan and Seth Rollins as Raw Tag Team Champions with The Bar chasing the titles into Royal Rumble.
“I presume that’s what’s happening is that [The Bar is] gonna win the Tag Team Titles,” Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio. “And I presume by watching this that Rollins and Jordan have a screw-up, you know which is the next step. Does that mean we’re gonna end up with Rollins against Jordan at WrestleMania? You know what? It would probably be a really good match.”
Bryan Alvarez expressed some concern over the fact that it might be hard for WWE to make people care about that match but Melzter seemed to have a more positive outlook.
“People want to dislike Jordan, so you could do that. I mean obviously it wasn’t the original plan for Mania but I can see that. So it probably is what they’re gonna do” Dave Meltzer replied.
Rollins vs Jordan could tear the house down when it comes from a strictly pro wrestling standpoint, but it really could be difficult to build much heat around that idea. However, only time will tell what WWE decides to do as the Road To WrestleMania 34 is certain to contain many twists and turns along the way.
