Tye Dillinger might be the Perfect 10 for some fans but apparently, his reaction from the WWE Universe isn’t one they necessarily want backstage.
Dillinger was listed in the #10 spot on the first week of SmackDown’s new ranking system and Dave Meltzer opened up about the new SmackDown ranking system on Wrestling Observer Radio and said WWE doesn’t even want people chanting at Dillinger anymore.
“It’s one thing if it’s a guy who’s impressive and the wrestlers are giving him a shot. But Dillinger’s just a guy on the brand that works prelims and they put him at number 10 because it makes for a cute minute for people to chant ’10’ which they don’t even want people chanting anyway that’s why they keep him off TV so much because they don’t want them chanting ’10.'”
So the next time you’re watching SmackDown and Tye Dillinger doesn’t get an entrance on television that might be the reason. Apparently hearing “10” chanted over and over again isn’t something WWE would like to promote which is a real shame considering how good Dillinger could be if they’d let him show what he’s capable of.
