Good news for Jason Jordan’s expected return to the ring

Jason Jordan is a divisive character indeed. But whether you’re a fan of his storyline as Kurt Angle’s baby boy is another story. The fact is the former NXT, SmackDown, and Raw Tag Team Champion is still an incredibly talented individual.

But unfortunately, injuries don’t care whether someone is talented or not. Jordan was pulled from action and competed in just enough televised matches to appear like he was still active, but he was actually dealing with a neck injury.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported JJ was losing some of the grip in his hand which is never a good sign. Even though Jordan’s wife said there was nothing to worry about, the Gold Blooded Superstar still had to have a procedure performed on his neck.

But as it turns out, maybe Jason’s wife wasn’t telling too much of a fallacy because the procedure he had was actually a rather safe, non-invasive surgery that is not only relatively commonplace nowadays but is also an outpatient process. Neck surgeries have come a long way in the past few years.

The posterior cervical microdiscectomy performed on Jason Jordan means he couldn’t be a part of the upcoming Elimination Chamber match, but it might not keep him out of action for long. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter pointed out how Jason Jordan’s spot at WrestleMania still isn’t a dead issue so depending on how quickly he can recover, there might be a chance of an appearance at the Show Of Shows.

The University of Southern California’s website lists a microdiscectomy as a procedure which can allow the patient to return to light work after 1-2 weeks, light recreational sports after 1 month, and possible heavy lifting and sports activities in 1-2 months. So there very well may be a chance for Jason Jordan to make it back for WrestleMania but it would obviously be better for him if a return could happen as soon as possible to allow extra time on the Road To WrestleMania.

But the most important part is that he doesn’t rush anything and comes back when he is safe to compete once more. After all, being Kurt Angle’s son could mean neck problems run in the family
