It looks like WWE switched up WrestleMania plans for Braun Strowman

With WrestleMania 34 coming at us fast, it looks like WWE might be positioning the card in a way they see fit. But there’s always room for things to get changed around. After all, there are a couple variables which could alter their plans.

The Miz was penciled in to defend his Intercontinental Title against Braun Strowman at WrestleMania as Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar battle in their own program for the Universal Title. But you never know if WWE could change things around because it appears they’ve already made some switches.

“One thing that was changed and that is The Miz/Braun Strowman appears to be out because if you watch the thing it’s pretty clear they’re gonna be doing Miz and Seth Rollins and probably Finn Balor in a 3-way which takes Strowman out,” Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio. “And Strowman is obviously based on what happened there, Strowman is the backup plan if something happens — you know I don’t know if they’re gonna go with a 3-way at Mania with Strowman in there with Reigns and Brock Lesnar but it something happens with Lesnar, obviously, it’s Roman Reigns vs Braun Strowman it’s the only match you can put in that spot.”

With allegations circling that Reigns could be implicated in a big steroid scandal, WWE might be keeping that in the back of their mind as well.

“And if something happens with Roman Reigns, and something still could, Strowman’s the only guy you could put in that spot as well.”

Meltzer went on to saw WWE could always book Strowman vs Elias if they wanted to but, “there is concern for Roman Reigns for sure, but the idea right now is he’s the main event at WrestleMania. But there is a Braun Strowman backup plan clearly in place, so whatever that means.”

Therefore it looks like WWE could be hedging their bets in two directions and the guy they have in place to fix the situation if they need him is the Monster Among Men. So once again, The Road To WrestleMania keeps getting more and more interesting as we get closer to the big show.
