Could Daniel Bryan could still compete at The Elite’s All In event?

Daniel Bryan is now medically cleared and everyone is very excited about this fact. But some might be a bit disappointed if they were hoping to see the Bearded GOAT back on the indie wrestling scene. After all, he’s one of the best performers on the planet and the thought of him mixing it up with the world’s best indie stars is enough to make any wrestling fan mark out at least a little bit.

When Cody Rhodes started doing the LeBell Lock in order to tease a possible match against Daniel Bryan at All In people certainly noticed. But once September 1st was settled on as the date for All In, Rhodes stopped doing the move and any teasing of the match ceased on social media.

Dave Meltzer noted during Wrestling Observer Live this week that it’s highly likely WWE will be able to keep Daniel Bryan around after his contract is over since he’s been cleared to compete. But as it turns out, even if he chooses not to renew it would still prohibit him from doing The Elite’s All In event in Chicago on September 1st because his contract isn’t up until that day.

But now that Daniel Bryan has been medically cleared, as The Observer notes: “it’s a moot point” to consider Daniel Bryan’s participation with the All In show.

The Young Bucks and Cody Rhodes were actually thinking about booking the ALL In show for a later date so D-Bry could be included. But it looks like they’ll have to stack the card without him. Still, I’m sure Daniel Bryan will be close attention to what The Elite does in Chicago as will everyone else.
