The Ellen Show is very WWE friendly, especially the softer side of sports entertainment. The extraordinary comedian turned daytime talk show host recently had Ronda Rousey on her program where Rowdy Ronda not only taught Ellen how to get her mean face on but also plugged WWE heavily in the process.
John Cena recently appeared on Ellen to plug his upcoming movie Blockers which looks like it could be extremely funny. Ellen brought up the fact that Super Cena never went to prom when he was in school so she arranged a special surprise for the 16-time WWE Champion.
Nikki Bella came out and you could tell John was honestly surprised. This could likely become a plot point for an upcoming episode of Total Bellas too, but it was certainly cool to see go down on the Ellen Show.
It seemed like The Undertaker was the last thing on Cena’s mind as he posed for a picture with his prom date but WrestleMania is coming up in less than 20 days and he’s got Kane to deal with next week on Raw. In the meantime, it’s nice to see John Cena finally go to a prom.
