A couple of days ago, there were some rumors circulating online claiming that there was a segment planned for Brock Lesnar on Monday Night Raw and that the Triple H promo was a last minute replacement. The rumors are false and although Lesnar was advertised locally to appear on the show, he flew home a couple of hours after SummerSlam on Sunday night/early Monday morning.
The reason why Lesnar was not on Raw this week was simple. Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Lesnar was not there simply because they couldn’t come up with an idea for him that would make sense.
Lesnar’s relationship with Vince McMahon is good and, as we noted here before, there’s a good chance that he will be back after his UFC fight with Daniel Cormier. It looks like he is serious about that fight because he is already training and has gotten smaller. Lesnar has been given three surprise tests.
The idea is for Lesnar to talk around at 270 pounds so he won’t have to cut so much weight to get down to 265 pounds. The changes were noticeable on Sunday night at SummerSlam and even Daniel Cormier remarked that Lesnar looked smaller.
