Matt Hardy took to Twitter on Sunday night to thank the fans at the live event in Rochester, NY for a heartwarming send-off. Fans gave him a standing ovation after his match where he teamed with Bray Wyatt against The B-Team.
As previously reported, Hardy has been working backstage and if all goes well then he could end up with a full-time role with the company. His current contract expires in March.
Hardy was planning on working through his back issues but plans change and it looks like he is done as a full-time performer due to the issue with his lower back fusing into his pelvis.
Hardy’s career spans over 25 years and it would not shock me if he was inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame as a headliner in the next couple of years.
Thank you for a WONDERFUL & HEARTWARMING send off tonight, #WWERochester. I appreciate you. https://t.co/atr7w3TCWa
