Kevin Owens’ storyline departure on Monday Night Raw has led to speculation on what is next for him. Is he coming back as a babyface or going back to his roots as a kickass heel?
Apparently, there was a rumor making the rounds this week and the claim was that Owens was taken off television so they could repackage him and have return with Paul Heyman as his advocate.manager. The story was debunked in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
“The story going around that Heyman will return to manage Owens has no validity to it,” Dave Meltzer wrote in the newsletter.
The only thing we know is that Owens is advertised for live events in October and he is scheduled to team with Elias against John Cena and Bobby Lashley so, at least for the immediate future, he will be a heel and it doesn’t look like he will be off WWE TV for a long time.
Owens deleted most of his Twitter posts after Raw but you shouldn’t look too much into that because he does things like that on Twitter from time to time.
