WWE is considering a unique venue for WrestleMania week

WWE is looking at a unique venue for WrestleMania week events taking place in the New York City area in 2019.

PWInsider is reporting that WWE officials were at The Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. That building houses the Metropolitan Opera, The New York Philharmonic, The New York Ballet, and other theaters.

It’s not clear what they are planning but that building is not ideal for AXXESS events, which would indicate that they were looking at The Lincoln Center for another reason, perhaps for a new event that has never been done before during WrestleMania week. The company is still looking for a venue to host WrestleMania AXXESS.

WrestleMania 35 will take place at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The WWE Hall Of Fame, NXT Takeover, Raw and Smackdown Live will take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. It will be a historic weekend because Ring Of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling will be running the G1 Supercard event at Madison Square Garden on the same night as NXT Takeover.
