Maria Kanellis is posting non-PG photos to get your attention

Maria Kanellis has been off WWE television for over a year. She gave birth in April and has been training for a return to the ring. Unfortunately, the call from WWE hasn’t come yet, presumably because creative hasn’t found anything for her. She recently had a setback with a broken hand but her wrist is healing and the cast is off and there’s no doubt that she is chomping at the bit to get back in the mix on weekly WWE TV and at the Evolution pay-per-view taking place on 10/26 in Uniondale, NY.

The Evolution pay-per-view will feature former Superstars and women from the active roster but there’s no word yet on what Kanellis’ role will be. She is hoping to change that by doing whatever it takes to get noticed and apparently, that means posting photos from her days from NJPW and the independent scene where she would wear super short shorts to the ring. Perhaps, not suitable for today’s WWE but her posts have caught the attention of many on social media.

The first photo was posted on September 13 and her Instagram profile was filled with similar photos throughout the weekend. The most recent one includes this caption: “Are you paying attention, now?”

It’s unclear what is next for her but you have to give her credit for doing whatever it takes to get noticed. Kanellis has embraced her past as part of the WWE Divas roster. Last month she wrote, “Real Diva. Be careful disparaging the women that fought for what you are getting. Experience is more of a bitch then, entitlement ever will be. We were Divas for a reason. We had to be. We all matter in the marathon called the Evolution of Women Superstars. And it’s not over. I see you. I’m with you. We were in the trenches together in full makeup, dresses and heels everyday, every show. Still fighting with babies, careers, husbands, and a stigma. Is it better to fight for the system or the spot? Both. Love you. Together we push the system forward, apart we forget our past. Those that forget their past repeat it. #evolution @wwe #justwork #unscriptedreality #momlife”
