Another top international star appears to be on his way to WWE.
Ilja Dragunov has been pulling out of independent dates and the word going around is that he is headed to WWE, likely as part of the NXT UK brand.
DEFIANT Wrestling issued the following statement:
“Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, Ilja Dragunov is no longer able to compete on his scheduled Defiant dates in February. As a result we are removing a segment on this week’s Loaded (taped January 5), meaning a slightly shorter episode will air this Sunday.”

The 25-year-old Dragunov is considered to be one of the best sellers in the world and he made a big splash at PWG’s Battle of Los Angeles. He made a name for himself in Germany’s wXw promotion.
He always talks about his dedication to his family and has missed bookings so he could be with them for important events in their life. The belief is that he will be exclusive to Europe just like WALTER, which is why NXT UK is his rumored destination.
