Former WWE NXT Champion Drew McIntyre recently gave some high praise to one NXT UK talent, which is NXT UK Champion Pete Dunne.
McIntyre did so while doing a recent interview with Akhilesh Gannavarapu of Wrestling Inc when being asked who fans should be on the lookout for from the current NXT UK roster.
“It’s hard not to say that Pete Dunne’s not the best considering he’s had the title for a number of years,” said McIntyre. “But there’s so many good guys, and I’ve worked with the majority of them, so I know how good they actually are.”
“Everyone’s very physical in the ring, and that’s my favorite style – the British style,” stated McIntyre.
Dunne has held the title for over 600 days after winning the title from inaugural champion Tyler Bate. He made his most recent title defense against Joe Coffey at the first-ever WWE NXT UK TakeOver special, NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool, on Saturday, January 12 at the Empress Ballroom.
