Last year, it seemed like Dave Bautista’s return to WWE was inevitable as they set up a match with Triple H at WrestleMania.
Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that he is in talks with WWE but there is also interest from All Elite Wrestling.
A source tells Ryan Satin that Bautista is 50/50 on returning to the ring. He is also listening to what both companies are offering.
Bautista popping up at an AEW show would be a huge blow in terms of the perception of WWE wrestlers opting to go where the grass is greener. It’s ironic because Bautista has said for years that he wanted to return for a WrestleMania match but they weren’t receptive until the last year or so.
If Bautista chooses WWE then it would seem likely that the match with Triple H is on the table. Triple H recently aid that he’s been cleared to train again after suffering a torn pec last November.
As previously reported, several current WWE stars are considering their options when their contracts expire. There is concern about The Usos and Dean Ambrose leaving to sign with AEW.
