Jerry Lawler’s former podcast co-host in hot water for scamming fans out of thousands of dollars

Glenn Moore, the former co-host of Jerry Lawler’s podcast, is in hot water.

Moore is accused of scamming fans who paid big money for Lawler’s artwork. One fan, Jason Lurie, paid Moore $250 for artwork and loved it so much that he paid $1,500 for an oil painting of his cat but he never received the painting.

Lawler said he thought Moore was his friend but he changed after he lost his job in December and added that Moore promised to make amends to everyone but he doesn’t have the money to pay them.

Lawler said that he hoped to get the people their money back or he will get them their artwork. One Memphis man said that he was willing to take Lawler to court to get his money back.

“I hate that Jerry is going through this,” Moore told WMC Action News 5. “This is a mess.”

Lawler called superfan Lurie on July 10 and they talked for more than an hour. Lawler is trying to make things right on the $1,500 taken from him by Moore.

“Jerry sounded very defeated,” Lurie said after speaking with The King. “You could hear it in his voice. He was very humble.”

Lurie also told WMC that he’s talked with about a dozen other fans who also say that they were scammed by Moore.

“One of the main things he was offering people,” said Lawler, was signed shirts. I’ll definitely take care of anybody that asked for that. And I’ll try to make good on the artwork, as well.”

Lawler said that a pediatric cancer charity was also scammed by Moore. Lawler added that Moore may still be trying to scam fans because there is a fake deal on social media that offers VIP tickets to The Jerry and Jerry show on Beale Street club in Memphis on July 21st. Lawler says the only real place to get tickets is at www.championshipwrestlingmemphis.com.
