Former WWE Champion Batista has landed a role in a television series that airs on Apple TV.
This week Deadline reported that he has been added to the cast of “See” where he will co-star with Jason Momoa.
Steven Knight, best known as Peaky Blinders creator, created the series and it’s directed by Francis Lawrence. There’s no word yet on Batista’s character.
This marks the first big role on television for Batista after he had a string of roles in big films over the last few years.
There’s no word yet on when the second season of the show will premiere but the first season hit the air last November.
“See” takes place in the distant future after a deadly virus decimated humankind. The people who survived were left blind. Momoa, starring as a character named Baba Voss, is the father of twins born centuries later with the mythic ability to see, who must protect his tribe against a powerful yet desperate queen who wants to destroy the twins.”
Batista will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame during WrestleMania 36 weekend in April. WWE has also confirmed that the nWo will also be inducted.
