It looks like another WWE Superstar will be testing the free agent market soon.
Although he’s involved in one of the main storylines on Monday Night Raw, it looks like Rusev has yet to sign a new contract with the company. His wife Lana signed a multi-year deal several weeks ago but he has indicated on Twitter that staying with WWE is not a lock for him.
Rusev has changed his Twitter bio to say “soon to be free agent.” There’s no way of knowing if this is his attempt to troll fans or if he indeed serious about looking at his options elsewhere.
Rusev is scheduled to team up with Liv Morgan on next week’s episode of Monday Night Raw against Bobby Lashley and Lana as their storyline continues.
If Rusev ends up signing a new WWE contract then I would expect the company to make the announcement at some point since they want to get the word out about wrestlers opting to stay with them instead of jumping to another company like All Elite Wrestling.
There is no word on when Rusev’s current WWE contract expires.
