The second Elimination Chamber match scheduled for Sunday was originally supposed to include The Revival but a change was made.
In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that Lucha House Party is in the spot that was originally for Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder, effectively taking The Revival off of television. There is always a chance that they can be used to put over some wrestlers in their final weeks with the company as they are essentially in the same spot as guys like Jon Moxley and Matt Hardy before they left the company.
Meltzer noted that, at this point, they are leaving the company next month when their contracts expire. As we noted here on WrestlingNews.co, Wilder and Dawson have retained the services of the same lawyer who handles trademarks for wrestlers in All Elite Wrestling so they will likely debut in AEW in the next couple of months.
The participants in the Tag Team Elimination Chamber match are The Miz and John Morrison, The New Day, The Usos, Heavy Machinery, Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode and Lucha House Party. All of those teams are scheduled to wrestle in a gauntlet match at Friday Night SmackDown and it’s worth noting that Dawson and Wilder are not scheduled to appear on the show.
They were originally listed on the leaked card for WrestleMania in Tampa but it looks like they will no longer be on the show since tag team Chamber match is supposed to set up the Tag Team Title match for Mania.
A legal battle could be brewing over at least one trademark. As noted last week, Dash and Dawson applied for the following: “FTRKO,” “Top Guys,” “Say Yeah,” “Shatter Machine,” and “No Flips, Just Fists.”
In an effort to keep them from using their early NXT name, WWE filed for “The Mechanics” trademark and “No Flips Just Fists” without the comma. The word in WWE is that Dawson and Wilder have turned down several offers to stay with the company.
