Several weeks ago, PWInsider reported that Mustafa Ali was quietly moved to Monday Night Raw. Ali has yet to appear on the show since the move and he has not appeared on any WWE show since early 2020.
Now it looks like he has been moved back to the blue brand. Reader Jason H. noted that the WWE.com roster page now lists him as being back on the SmackDown roster.
It’s not clear what the decision is behind the move but it’s worth noting that the SmackDown hacker was believed to be Ali but WWE appears to have dropped the angle and the hacker has not been heard from in many weeks. If Ali is indeed back on the blue brand, then perhaps this is a sign that they still intend on continuing with the hacker storyline.
As seen below, Ali has been hitting the gym and seems ready to return to TV whenever he gets the call.

UPDATE: A WWE source reached out to say that, despite what was reported by PWInsider, Ali was never officially moved off the SmackDown roster page on WWE.com
