There has been talk in WWE about another major show airing a week after SummerSlam.
Pro Wrestling Unlimited is reporting that there’s been talk of Evolution 2 taking place on Sunday, August 30th. The first Evolution show in 2018 was headlined by Ronda Rousey but they did not follow up with second show last October.
They don’t have Rousey for Evolution 2 but the rumors going around suggest that Tessa Blanchard is either signed to a WWE contract or is expected to be signed soon. Blanchard is a free agent after Impact Wrestling announced that they were releasing her last month. Their announcement was made just days before her contract was set to expire.
WrestlingNews.co reached out to a couple of sources to inquire about Blanchard and the sources we spoke with have not heard anything. Once source said that her signing would likely be kept quiet to avoid spoiling the surprise so we’ll see. Friends of Blanchard have said that she has been keeping quiet about her future plans.
The way things look like right now, Evolution 2 will likely be held in Orlando, Florida at the Performance Center or Full Sail University since the travel and social distancing restrictions will not allow WWE to run shows with fans.
