Tonight’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw is sure to get a lot of people talking.
As noted earlier, Shane McMahon is returning on tonight’s show and he will be on the show to make a big announcement. As reported by Jon Alba, McMahon is set to announce that there will be some sort of shoot-style fighting happening.
WrestleVotes tweeted the following hashtag: “#RawUnderground.”
Earlier this evening, WrestleVotes noted that Shane would introduce a new concept that has raised some eyebrows backstage at the Performance Center.
No other details available but that sounds something like the Brawl For All tournament from the late 90s that many deemed as a bad idea because no one got over and there were so many injuries.
On Saturday, WrestlingNews.co reported that Vince McMahon was looking for out-of-the-box ideas that could help boost TV ratings. This idea, likely conceived by Shane, appears to be one of those ideas. Shane is a big MMA fan and has tried to incorporate MMA into WWE in the past. At one point, he tried to convince Vince to buy UFC in the late 90s when it was for sale and there was talk of bringing the Brawl For All tournament back over a decade ago.

Now I can report this. A source indicates to me tonight's announcement on #RAW will indeed be about some sort of shoot-fight style…thing. @voiceswrestling first mentioned this rumor, while others like @WrestleVotes and @ryansatin have noted it would be eye-opening. #WWE https://t.co/dZ1SswiZly
