Earlier today, WWE promised that a new faction would be debuting on Monday Night Raw.
Apparently, plans changed because there was no faction on the show unless you count the people who were shown destroying property outside of the Performance Center.
Throughout the show, there were “technical glitches” that caused the audio to cut out at certain points and the lights to flicker during segments. It’s unclear what WWE had in mind but they definitely had something planned with a new faction on tonight’s show because it was all over WWE.com.
As noted earlier, there was said to be a lot of chaos backstage with Vince McMahon reportedly being in a “volatile” mood. There were a ton of rewrites throughout the day so it’s possible that whatever they had planned with the faction was held off until next week or maybe what was shown was exactly what they had in mind so fans could tune in to find out what’s going to happen next week. Next week’s show was taped right after this week’s episode of Raw was taped. We’ll post updates when we hear more on what happened at the second tapings.
There was plenty of news this week on Raw with the debut of Shane McMahon’s Raw Underground, Montez Ford collapsing during the show, Samoa Joe getting in Seth Rollins’ face, Nia Jax getting suspended, the Riott Squad reunion and The Hurt Business beating everyone up in the Raw Underground. Hmm…
Lights flickering. Mic’s malfunctioning. Chaos backstage. Spiking Montez Ford’s drink?!
Is this the work of the new faction that has been teased?
