WWE’s social media team jumped the gun with announcement of faction coming to Raw

When it was reported and later hyped by WWE on social media that a faction was coming to Monday’s Raw, there was a lot of speculation among fans. For at least the first night, the first glimpse of the faction was lackluster.

WWE’s official website had teased earlier in the day that there were “rumblings” around the Performance Center that the group was set to “cause chaos” and “shake up the organization’s structure.”

As seen on the show, there were moments where the lights were flickering and boxes were knocked over in the backstage area. The biggest moment came when there was footage from outside of the Performance Center showing a group of people wearing hoodies throwing what appeared to be Molotov cocktails at a generator.

It appears that this will be a slow build to the faction actually making its debut.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported, “WWE’s social media team also jumped the gun on tonight’s ‘faction news,’ after word of the new team leaked on Pro Wrestling Sheet.”

With what this report states and the wording of WWE’s announcement, they used terms that were written by Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet in the initial report.

WWE also taped next week’s episode of Raw on Monday night so whatever WWE has planned for the faction right now will play out the next show.
