Velveteen Dream returned to action on this week’s episode of WWE NXT for the first time since TakeOver: XXX and fans many were not happy about it.
Dream took to Twitter after his match and tweeted the following:
“Was On
Fuego (means Fire in Spanish/
Miss U Mauro)
2Nite!!”
He ended the tweet with a fire emoji next to the word “DREAM.” Many fans interpreted the tweet as him mocking the #FireVelveteenDream hashtag that has trended at various times since his return to NXT after allegations that he sent inappropriate texts and photos to minors.
Last month, Triple H has stated that the company has moved on from the allegations without giving many details on WWE’s investigation. Dream refuted the first allegation that surfaced in April but has yet to comment publicly on his other accuser, Josh Fuller. Two of Dream’s accusers have gone on record on Twitter to say that they were never contacted during WWE’s investigation of the allegations.
