Braun Strowman has been dealing with a blood infection

Braun Strowman had been kept off television from November through January due to a knee injury. WWE explained his absence by “suspending” him following an attack on Adam Pearce.

He returned on an episode of SmackDown then worked this year’s Royal Rumble Match. However, he wasn’t featured on last week’s episode of SmackDown.

It turns out that Strowman has been dealing with an infection in his blood system. Thus, that’s the reason he has been missing in action. He took to Instagram to provide an update on his health:

“Yo, so a little update since I’ve been off-air for a little bit. I got really sick over the weekend and got an infection that got into my blood system and had to be put on antibiotics for that. It was awful, I dropped like 15 pounds in five days. Couldn’t eat, it looks like 50 pounds of water weight, all my joints are swollen and inflamed, but the antibiotics are working and I’m feeling better.” He added that he’s going to get back to training and he’ll be back very soon.

As of this writing, it is unknown when Strowman will return to television. We wish him the best of luck with this battle.
