The latest edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown saw its ratings be mixed in the two important categories.
Friday’s show averaged 2.043 million viewers on FOX, which is down from last week’s show that did 2.137 million viewers, according to PWTorch.
In the all-important 18-49 demographic, the show did a 0.57 rating, up from the 0.55 rating last week. NBC’s Olympics coverage was expected to draw viewers away from not only WWE, but all TV shows, and did just that.
WWE was ranked second on broadcast television just behind the Olympics. The overnight ratings had the show doing under 2 million viewers.
This was the third show with fans in attendance in over a year. The episode featured Rey Mysterio vs. Jimmy Uso, Big E, Cesaro & King Nakamura vs. Apollo Crews, Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode, Bianca Belair & Sasha Banks vs. Carmella & Zelina Vega, and more.
