On the latest episode of “The Kurt Angle Show” podcast, Angle and Conrad Thompson covered the Milk-O-Mania episode of WWE Monday Night Raw that aired on August 20, 2001. Angle talked about driving the milk truck to the ring, spraying Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Alliance with milk, Test and Stephanie McMahon, The Rock with mini Booker T, Lance Storm, the APA, Mick Foley, WWF New York and more.
Here are some highlights:
Kurt Angle said the episode of Raw where he drove the milk truck into the arena was his favorite moment of his career:
“You want to create moments for fans, and this was my most popular moment besides the cowboy hat skits that I did with Stone Cold and Vince. This is definitely my favorite moment. The cowboys hats were my second favorite. Don’t get me wrong, the matches meant everything to me, but when you have these moments like this, this is what the fans remember forever.”
Angle believes The Big Show was the greatest big man of all time:
“I think he was the best big man ever. He was an incredible athlete for his size. He did a lot of good. He was light on his feet too. I could Angle slam him. He would allow me to German- suplex him. He was 500 pounds at the time, and for him to be able to give his body up like that, and jump for me, and make me look good, that shows what an incredible worker he was.”
Angle talking about his friendship with Christian:
“Every once in a while we touch base. He’s such a good guy. We were best friends, Edge, Christian, myself and Rhyno. We really were best friends. We spent a lot of time together. That time was so valuable. I’ll never forget what he did for me, and what he did for the business. Christian is one of the most underrated professional wrestlers of all time. This guy should actually already be in The Hall of Fame. That’s how good he was. I don’t know, I think someday he will be. I just think he’s been underappreciated. He could have very well been the best professional wrestler of all time. That’s how good he was. He was creative putting the matches together. His timing was impeccable. He was one of the absolute best I’ve ever worked with.”
