Ric Flair does not have a non-compete with WWE and he’s free to sign with AEW + he worked at AAA Triplemania for free

Ric Flair is free and clear to sign with any promotion he wants.

Wrestling Inc. reports that there is no non-compete agreement with Flair so, in theory, he could show up on AEW TV as soon as this week.

Dave Meltzer reported last week that Flair is expected to sign with AEW as soon as he is legally able to. Flair and Tony Khan have been friends for years and Andrade El Idolo has told friends that he would like to have his friends and family with him in AEW.

Flair appeared at AAA Tripelmania on Saturday night to help out Andrade El Idolo during his match with Mega Champion Kenny Omega. Flair chopped Omega and then applied the figure four on Konnan. It turns out that AAA got him on the show without having to pay a fee.

Wrestling Inc. noted that Flair did the show for free and he chartered his own plane to Mexico at his own expense. Charlotte Flair was also with him and Andrade. She was granted time off from Saturday’s live event so she could travel with her fiance and her father to Mexico.

Despite granting her the time off, WWE continued to falsely advertise her for the show in Charlotte, NC on Saturday night.

As for as Ric Flair and AEW, there is no word on when he might appear on a future episode of Dynamite or Rampage.
