Becky Lynch begins heel turn by apologizing for “absolutely nothing”

Becky Lynch kicked off this week’s episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown.

Lynch started out by saying that she missed the fans and when she dropped the Raw Women’s Championship, it was one of the hardest things that she had to do.

Lynch got some boos and she acknowledged that there was “controversy” over the way she won the SmackDown Women’s Championship and then she said that she is sorry for “absolutely nothing,” a line made famous by Conor McGregor. Lynch said that she was preparing for this.

At that point, the former champion Bianca Belair made her way to the ring to tell Lynch that she was definitely not okay with what happened at SummerSlam and that she wanted a rematch tonight. Carmella, Zelina Vega, and Liv Morgan all joined in on the segment to state their case on why they deserve a title shot.

Lynch declined to give Belair a rematch right now but a Fatal 4-way match was made to determine the number 1 contender.

UPDATE: Belair won the Fatal 4-Way to earn the rematch against Lynch.
