WWE will be airing a new documentary this Friday about the first episode of SmackDown after the 9/11 tragedy in New York City.
“Never Forget: WWE Returns After 9/11” will premiere one day before the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks. It will air on Peacock/WWE Network, WWE’s YouTube channel and Facebook page.
Those interviewed for the documentary include Vince McMahon, Steve Austin, JBL, Kurt Angle, Edge, and more. This episode of SmackDown was held on September 13, 2001 at the Compaq Center in Houston, Texas.
