Multiple promotions including AEW interested in former WWE star

Isaiah “Swerve” Scott is on the free agent market now that his WWE non-compete clause has expired. Scott is going back to the ring name that he used before signing with WWE, Shane Strickland, and now will have the chance to see who he wants to sign with next.

When Strickland was first let go by WWE, it was reported that there were multiple companies, including major ones, who had shown interest in bringing him in.

Fightful Select reports higher-ups in multiple companies have an interest in bringing him and one major company already has plans in place to work with him in some capacity. The report stated AEW asked about his status “extremely early in his free agency to gauge when he’d be available.” Also, “NJPW USA has made at least a very firm overture in regards to using him in the future.” Many expect MLW to reach out to him as well.

While in NXT, Strickland held the Cruiserweight Title once and formed the Hit Row group alongside B-Fab, Top Dolla, and Ashantee Thee Adonis.
