AEW recently canceled a planned talent meeting

2023 has been an up-and-down year for All Elite Wrestling as the promotion has declined across the board, whether that be television ratings or attendance figures.

2023

The promotion lost two notable names to WWE, with CM Punk and Jade Cargill now in WWE, although AEW released Punk due to his backstage altercation with Jack Perry at All In.

However, AEW is not as bad off as some would like to make the case to be as the promotion still draws good ratings for Dynamite, and when Collision doesn’t face competition from WWE with their premium live events, the show still pulls in sold ratings.

AEW has also been able to sign new stars, including Adam Copeland and Will Ospreay, to full-time deals. In August, they held its biggest event in company with All In at Wembley Stadium.

Plans nixed

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that a talent meeting that was scheduled for the December 3rd AEW Collision event was planned and then canceled. It’s unclear why the meeting didn’t go through or whether the promotion plans to reschedule it.

AEW holds tonight’s Dynamite, with the special Winter is Coming theme, from College Park Center in Arlington, Texas. You can check out the card here.
