Injuries are going to happen in wrestling, no matter the style, whether it’s a throwback technical style or high-flying. However, they can be tricky sometimes as wrestlers will come back too soon or the injury doesn’t heal properly.
The star
Bandido has been sidelined as he went down with an injury while working a match that aired in June on a Rampage episode in a loss to Konosuke Takeshita in a singles match. When he suffered a left wrist injury, he was first given a diagnosis of a triangular fibrocartilage complex injury, but he wanted to get a second opinion before having the surgery in July.
Bandido had reportedly been getting close to making an in-ring return for All Elite Wrestling. However, he will need to wait a little bit longer.
Setback
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted Bandido’s wrist hadn’t healed properly and he needed another surgery.
“Bad news for Bandido, by the way. Another surgery on the wrist. Yeah, it didn’t heal properly. No, it’s not good at all. It’s really too bad because he was literally ready to come right back, and the bone didn’t heal well, which is really sad. The guy’s got so much charisma,” Meltzer stated.
