Bayley has fans talking this morning due to a photo that she posted on social media of herself with Mercedes Mone (formerly Sasha Banks).
History
Mone and Bayley had classic matches with and against each other in WWE. They also held the Women’s Tag Team Titles a few different times as they were strongly behind WWE introducing the championships in the first place.
Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair & Shotzi vs. Damage CTRL (Asuka, Bayley, IYO SKY & Kairi Sane) will place at the WWE Survivor Series premium live event from Chicago, IL, at the Allstate Arena this Saturday night. The bout comes after Sane returned to WWE at Crown Jewel to help SKY retain the Women’s Championship over Belair.
In May 2022, Mone and Trinity Fatu, formerly known as Naomi, walked out of WWE last May due to creative differences. Months later, they were granted their releases, with Mone going to NJPW and Fatu to Impact. Mone is expected to make a return from injury soon and is still under contract with NJPW. She’s also expected to make her AEW debut when she’s back as well.

Bayley shared this throwback photo on her Instagram story of herself, Asuka, Sane, and Mone with the caption, “I’ve always got a plan.” This has fans thinking Mone is returning to the company, although there have been no reports to back up that speculation.
It’s also highly unlikely to happen at Survivor Series since she signed a new deal with NJPW shortly before getting injured.
