Vince McMahon wanted ‘ass’ and ‘DQ’ banned from WWE TV

Under the creative leadership of Vince McMahon, he had certain words that wrestlers and announcers are not allowed to say on WWE programming.

There are various words banned, which is why they said “WWE Universe” instead of “fans” or “medical facility” instead of “hospital.”

In 2020, Dave Meltzer compiled a list of the banned words McMahon didn’t like. Some of the terms include the following: blood, choke, belt, strap, diva, head shot, trauma, jobber, kill, card, wrestling, wrestler, violence, kayfabe, mofos, house show, and more.
