WWE star apologizes for liking transphobic social media post

Valentina Feroz has owned up to her mistake after coming under fire from fans for a post she liked on social media

Feroz, real name Yulisa Leon, has been with WWE since 2019, where she has been used in NXT while training at the Performance Center. Her most recent TV match happened on February 14, when she lost to Ivy Nile on an episode of NXT Level Up.

Feroz liked a video of a politician making fun of trans women who said, “men who want to be women are taking the place of real women.” A fan on Twitter noted that their friend confronted Feroz about it, and Feroz allegedly responded by stating the following:

“Sorry, I think you misunderstood. I already explained to you I have no prejudice with anyone. Everyone has a free will to do what they want. Now I don’t like that you go there and share a photo and keep saying a lot of things. I have more to do. I don’t want to be rude, I won’t talk about it anymore. You can say whatever you want. I won’t answer you anymore. The best thing is silence.”

She unliked the post and blocked the friend. Feroz took to Twitter this morning to post the following statement:

“I am here to apologize for what happened on my Instagram. I support and protect trans rights. I support respect, love and peace. Love always overcomes hate and prejudice.”

Feroz was in action on Saturday night at the NXT house show in St. Petersburg, FL, where she and Dani Palmer lost to Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn.
