Lita teamed up with Becky Lynch to challenge Damage CTRL for the Women’s Tag Team Titles in the main event of Monday’s episode of WWE Raw.
The WWE Hall of Famer and top WWE star beat IYO SKY and Dakota Kai to win the titles. The match also featured the return of Trish Stratus when she attacked Bayley at ringside for trying to get involved in the bout. This sets the stage for a potential Stratus vs. Bayley match or six-woman tag team match at WrestleMania Goes Hollywood.
Lita and Lynch made history on this show with the title win. The former WWE Women’s Champion joins Roddy Piper as a wrestler who won a WWE Tag Team Championship after being inducted into the Hall of Fame. Piper did it in 2006 with Ric Flair.
Becky Lynch made history as well as she joins Flair as the only star to hold a Tag Team Title in WWE with someone who is already inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as their partner.
Lita is the 9th WWE Hall of Famer to hold a championship in WWE after being inducted into the Hall of Fame. She joins the likes of Goldberg, Madusa, Bret Hart, Pat Patterson, and others to do so.
